Authorize your first shop
Authorization is the only way a shop enters TFChat. After one official OAuth flow, messages, products and orders start flowing on their own.
New authorization
Sidebar · Shops›New authorization
- Click New authorization and pick the channel (Shopee / TikTok Shop / Mercado Libre);
- The browser opens the platform's authorization page: sign in with the seller account and approve;
- The platform redirects back to TFChat. If the shop appears in the list, you are done.
On the platform screen, select exactly the shop you intend to connect. Picking a different one creates a new record instead of updating the existing shop.
Only the main account can start an authorization. Operators see just the shops assigned to them on this page.
What happens next
- Conversations and messages start syncing; new ones arrive in real time through the platform webhook;
- Listed products are imported for the AI to reference and for product cards;
- Buyer profiles and order history are rebuilt in the background and feed the AI context;
- Access tokens refresh themselves: the service checks every 10 minutes. You never renew anything by hand.
Expired authorization and reauthorizing
When a shop shows as expired (usually because the seller disconnected the app on the platform side), click Reauthorize on that shop's row under Shops. There is no need to delete and re-add.
- Reauthorizing uses exactly the same OAuth flow as the initial authorization;
- On success the existing record is updated and returns to authorized — local conversations, AI settings and reception settings are untouched;
- A custom shop nickname you set is preserved and will not be overwritten by the platform's shop name.
The same rule applies when reauthorizing: pick the same shop on the platform screen.
